Houseology was founded as Occa Design in 2010 by Kate Mooney. It became Houseology under chief executive Andy Russell in 2016, raised more than £6 million in investment from backers including former Tesco CEO Sir Terry Leahy, Bill Dobbie and Bill Currie, and had a peak turnover of £10 million.

2019 – “poor marketing decisions and returns along with a dysfunctional logistics process”, with poor sales in the final quarter of 2019 forcing it into administration.

The Moot Group, which has taken on its IP and assets, including stock.

The Moot Group is an ecommerce firm led and founded by Nick Moutter, a tech entrepreneur from Staffordshire. The firm says it is now on course to deliver £20 million in revenue for 2020.
